What’s in the loan packs?

There is some variety between the loan packs, but listed below is a ‘typical’ pack.

The packs come in two sizes:
Size 1: for 8lbs to 18lbs
Size 2: from 18lbs – potty training.

As well as the nappies, there is also a nappy bucket with mesh to store nappies and a roll of biodgredable disposable liners.

1 x Fluffle
The Fluffle nappy is a very rapid drying nappy and is made from a double layer of thick 100% polyester microfibre, which absorbs the moisture between the fibres rather than into the fibres like a natural fabric such as cotton or hemp. With elasticated legs and waist at the back, containment is good.

1 x Bamboozle
A real nappy made from 100% bamboo which is a highly eco-friendly material as it grows quickly and easily without the need for pesticides. It dries quickly and absorbs up to 60% more moisture than ordinary cotton, plus it is naturally anti-bacterial.

1 x Motherease Sandy’s
The Sandy’s nappy from Mother-ease is a lovely soft sized nappy, with gentle elastication  around the legs, and fastening with poppers at the hip and waist. This is quite a slim nappy, yet doesn't compromise on absorbency with good containment.

1 x Motherease one size
This is one of the best selling nappies in the UK and fits from approx. 8-35lbs / 3.5-16kgs
and is fastened and adjusted with poppers, which little fingers find hard to undo

1 x Kissaluv
Kissaluvs make the perfect newborn nappy even when most small nappies still overwhelm a newborn. A snap-down umbilical cord zone protects the cord area exceptionally well. After the cord stump heals, simply unsnap the snap-down and use the top row of snaps as baby grows.


1 x Motherease all in one
This Mother-ease nappy is an excellent "all in one" option, with the outer wrap as part of the main nappy. This makes the nappy ideal for when you are out and about or when people less familiar with nappies are caring for your baby!

1 x Tots Bots original
This is a very popular terry nappy which comes in three sizes. It has a good elasticated fit round the legs and waste.

1 x wonderoo
The wonderoo is a stuffable nappy, with an outer layer and fleece inside layer, between which absorbent inserts are placed. This makes it a quick drying and versatile option. The wonderoo is adjustable size wise and goes from birth (approximately 8lbs) to potty.                              

1 x Prefold
Prefold nappies consist of a simple 3 section layered rectangle of cotton, with a thicker layer in the centre. The outer sections have 4 layers and the centre piece has 8 layers. The prefold nappies can be simply folded into thirds in a wrap. At present, prefold nappies are the only available option if the Pure Nappies laundry service is used.

1 Terry nappy
The terry nappy has a number of plus points. Firstly they make a very economical choice, and secondly they dry quickly. No need for pins – simply hold the nappy in place with a ‘nappy nippa’ – a plastic grip which is very easy to use.

3 Motherease wraps
The wrap is the outer, waterproof layer, which goes over the nappy (with the exception of the Motherease all in one and wonderoo which have an integral wrap). The wraps have either Velcro or poppers.
